The London Underground – runs 20 hours a day and reaches all parts of London. Each tube line has a name and has been given a distinctive colour. The underground is separated into six zones with central London including Victoria in zone one. Trains run roughly every three to nine minutes and it takes about 45-60 minutes to get from Heathrow to Victoria, and is the easiest and most cost effective way to reach Victoria. From Heathrow take the Piccadilly line (navy blue) to Hammersmith. We recommend you to get off at Hammersmith because other stations get too crowded. At Hammersmith directly cross the platform and catch the District line (green) heading East towards Victoria (sixth stop). When you reach Victoria come out into the main train station. Head towards Platform 1 of the National Rail station and take the exit towards the Passport Office. Turn right out of this exit and walk up the road. You will pass the Double Tree Hilton and the passport office on your left. Our street will be in front of you (with a café on the left and St George’s Tavern pub on the right). We are a third of the way down on the left. See map below and click on the highlighted directions.
By Road – If you have hired a car from the airport, first get onto the M4 motorway (highway) and follow the signs toward central London until the M4 terminates. Then follow the A4 over the Hammersmith flyover. This then changes into the Cromwell Road, and then into the Brompton Road, where you will be able to see Harrods department store on your right. You will then approach the Hyde Park Corner roundabout. Take the fourth exit and go onto Grosvenor Place (you are now near Victoria Station)- Buckingham Palace is on your left. You have now entered a one-way system. Turn right onto Buckingham Palace Road, follow the road until you see Victoria coach station on your right and turn left on Elizabeth Bridge. Our street – Hugh Street – is the second on the left. Please note there are no parking facilities and there is no on street parking. There is a nearby car park. If you hire a taxi, it would cost around £50-70 from Heathrow to Cherry Court Hotel.
By Train – The Heathrow Express is a train service from Heathrow Terminals 1, 3, 4 and 5 to Paddington. It takes under 30mins. From Paddington you can take the Underground via the circle line (yellow) to Victoria. For more information see www.heathrowexpress.com.
By Train – Gatwick express is the easiest and quickest way to reach Victoria. Once in the arrivals hall follow the sign to Trains (Gatwick Express). Tickets are available on the train or at the ticket office. You can also buy tickets before you arrive online (they often have discounts). The train runs non-stop from Gatwick to London – Victoria every 15 minutes (from five minutes after the quarter hour). The journey takes about 30 minutes. See www.gatwickexpress.com for more details. On arrival at London – Victoria (either platform 13 or 14) an escalator will take you from the platform directly to the taxi rank and pick-up point. Walk towards the main road and turn left onto Eccleston Bridge and take the first right onto Hugh Street (you will see St George’s Tavern pub on the corner). See map below and click on the highlighted directions.
By Coach – various coach companies offer journeys from Gatwick to Victoria, including National Express, Easybus and Terravision. See their websites for further details.
By Train – From the airport you get the Stansted Express to Liverpool station in London. From there you take the Circle Line (yellow coloured) to Victoria. The trains run from 05.00 to 23.00 every 30 minutes. For more info see www.Stanstedexpress.com.
By Coach – Terravision, Easybus and National Express are amongst the many companies you can choose from. See their websites for more details. They often drop off and pick up from Bullied Way (which runs parallel to Hugh Street and/or Buckingham Palace Road – see map below).
These run all over the countryside including Heathrow airport, Scotland and Wales. They have city links to many of the well-known cities. All coaches run to and from Victoria. For additional information visit www.nationalexpress.co.uk. From the coach station find your way to the main front entrance. You will be at the cross-roads of Buckingham Palace Road and Elizabeth Street. Walk towards the Colonnade Walk Shopping Plaza keeping it on your left (this is Elizabeth Street). Our street is the second left. We are half way down on the right. See map below and click on the highlighted directions.
Victoria Train Station serves the south of London and beyond – all the way to the south coast.
Trains run daily from Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and other European destinations to London St Pancras station. From St Pancras you can take the underground to Victoria using the Victoria (light blue) line.
